Below is a link to a PDF file on the Firearms NSW website that explains the process and what is required to obtain a firearms licence.

One of the first requirements in the process is a Firearms Safety Training Certificate, and we can assist with this at the Club.

FIREARM LICENCE TESTING

As a member of the HVHC you are able to complete the firearms safety awareness course and sit your firearms licence test, free of charge.  This gives you a Firearms Safety Training Certificate for use when applying for your firearms licence with Firearms NSW.

John Garvey is our Safety Awareness/Licence Officer and you can contact John on 0424147744 to arrange a suitable date and time to sit your test.

John is also able to assist you with obtaining a NSW Department of Primary Industry R Licence.  This will allow you to hunt game and feral animals on public land that has been declared and open to hunting, or on private land with the permission of the landholder.

For further information on R Licences, please open the following link to take you to the DPI web page.    Restricted licence

CLUB ARMOURER

The HVHC now offers members the services of a Club Armourer. If you have purchased a firearm you can have it sent to John Garvey, our Armourer, who will take care of the transfer for you, and again, it's free of charge.

John can be contacted on 0424147744 and looks forward to assisting you.
